Its really great to hear from you so often in November. :)

You remind me of M.F.K. Fisher's story of how she put the stuffed turkey out on the porch the night before roasting it and it didn't get as cold as she thought it would (neither weather nor turkey). Not a happy result.

It was snowing in Times Square last night at 7:30. The tourists seemed to be thrilled. Didn't stick, though.

Beef/barley/vegetable soup sounds perfect for a cold November day! (We had high winds and a sub-zero wind chill yesterday. Brrrr.... You know, soup weather.)
Aruba looks like a fun knit. Hopefully the spiteful hat will release you soon, so you can cast on.

It is your love of food, that has whet my curiosity of good ingredients and good results. We love soup for winter dinner. Made one yesterday we'll enjoy for a few days this week. I agree with Claudia.

What Claudi said. Maybe you could resolve to post once a week in 2014?

You're welcome to my first snow, by the way.
