Oh how I love the Chasing Rainbows merino/bombyx. I recently spun some of the Copper Slate (i think that's the right color). It was heavenly. Still haven't decided what to do with it. Hope Mr. Etherknitter is starting to "knit up".

Lee Ann

Which one is the blue yarn on the left at the end of the post? I think I'm in love.

I've asked Claudia for dyeing tips.

I am going to Rhinebeck come hell or bad hairdo. And that picture of you on Norma's site with the bunny on your shoulder is so wonderful, I might have to print it and put it on my desk to inspire me. Girl, you've got one hell of a smile, and looking at that picture just makes me forget scary crap and think of what a wonderful time you must have had.

Cara

One of the highlights of my festival was the hug I got from you. Not the yarn. Not the food. YOU! Thank you! It was SO GOOD TO SEE YOU!

Norma

That William Randel Shiraz was the BEST DAMN WINE I HAVE EVER TASTED. I'm still thinking about it. I just saw you commented somewhere that you will be in NH this weekend. See you there!

Carole

Excellent summation! I'll see you in NH. You'll help me buy stuff, right? ;-)

Chris

Oh, sounds like a fabulous time! How did Mr Etherknitter fare in your absence?

bev

Sounds as though you had a fabulous time! Aren't fiberfests great!?! Come on out in June for the one at Estes Park. Hope all is well with you and yours.

Kathy

I'll have a glass of that young Tim Robbins, okay? What fabulous purchases -- all of them. The alpacas are waiting. . .

Debbie

I'm so glad you're going to be in NH this weekend. But do you think you'll even buy anything? I mean, you already had a pretty good haul in Maryland. Do you really need any more?

Looks like you had a blast and scored some great stuff! I really love the merino/silk, what gorgeous colours.

margene

Good wine, good friends, good fiber...it's the good life.

julia fc

More alpacas than you can shake a spindle at.

mamacate

Sometimes wool jumps out of booths at me too. Happens a lot, actually.

One fleece, huh? You realize you've thrown down the gauntlet? Now we have to get you two.

Jenn

I love that you're calling me Jenn of the Hair... It's like John the Elder or Tim the Smith. It was great to get to see you again, lady! Those are some lovely purchases.

Sylvia

Chasing Rainbows' Nancy Finn is a really neat lady, too. Did Morgaine have any of Nancy's yarn for sale?

I'm curious to see the socks you knit from Ellen's HPF yarn. My aunt bought some at Stitches and it looked especially nice.

Is the Cormo/alpaca white? How does the staple length and diameter of the alpaca compare with that of the Cormo? Which fiber's character dominates the resulting yarn?

Wish I could have been there... --Syl

Cassie

This is the oddest thing - I *slept* next to all that stuff and I didn't even know it was in the room with me. Are you sure I had a pulse, or was that just your own blood pounding in your veins from all the fiber?

Sigh. See? Your shopping makes my shopping look paltry. But my colors are better. :-P

Juno

I'm not sure I'd go with Tim Robbins as a young aristocrat...but it was really good. I guess Marlene's not my type.

There must have been more though, as I distinctly remember not being able to see your bed under it all.

Cathy

all this is enough to make a person hope that EP is as great.

Cheryl

You can't NOT find alpaca at NHSW! It's everywhere. We New Hampshire-ites love us some alpacas.

Now Cormo on the other hand, you have to get that in Maryland. Hard to find at NH.

Cordelia

Oooooh. Such pretty pictures.

I'm sorry I missed you. Have a great time at NHS&W. Say hi to the alpacas for those of us who aren't going!

Imbrium

That Chasing Rainbows is beautiful beyond comprehension.

Glad you had a good time!

The Purloined Letter

What gorgeous spinning you are doing!

Leslie

What a wonderful festival you had! And I adore every color you brought home, especially those last two skeins in the bottom picture!

elisa

I can not wait to see you this weekend! :)

claudia

Enjoy some fiber festival this weekend for me, K? Stay dry.

Rachel H

Sniff. Now I wanna go to NH.

Birdsong

What a delightful description of your fiber-ous weekend.... and Mr. must be at least better-enough that you felt like you could go - that is really good news.
